Nancy & Neil’s Historic Old Post Office Celebration
As the owner of Aisle Ai Weddings, Nancy leveraged her industry experience to plan her Old Post Office wedding to Neil as one that would be remembered for a lifetime. The result was a wedding that seamlessly combined modern elements with thoughtful nods to the couple’s Taiwanese-American and Japanese-Chinese-American heritages.
The ceremony took place in the lobby of the historic Old Post Office, which was turned into a lush meadow for the occasion. After exchanging heartfelt vows, the cocktail hour unfolded on the venue’s expansive 3.5-acre rooftop. Breathtaking cityscape views and delightful design details, such as custom wafer flowers adorning the drinks and a live electric violinist, completed the scene.
The evening continued with memorable moments on the dance floor, as Nancy and Neil shared their first dance, a choreographed number set to a song commissioned by R&B artist Phinisey. The wedding party also surprised everyone with a lively dance routine that incorporated music from various cultural backgrounds, representing the diverse backgrounds of the party.
A unique twist on the traditional bouquet toss, Nancy entertained guests with a bouquet ribbon cutting ceremony. With a handful of ribbons tied to her bouquet, all of the single guests surrounded Nancy as she closed her eyes and cut each ribbon one by one. The last remaining uncut ribbon holder “caught” the bouquet, making for a fun and inclusive enhancement to the festivities.
Nancy and Neil’s wedding was a perfect blend of modern and traditional elements, infused with their cultural backgrounds and wedding industry expertise. It’s not surprising that the bride plans weddings professionally!
