Michele & Michael’s Studio 54-Meets-Palm Springs Wedding at Waldorf Astoria Chicago
With a bit of 70s Glam and influences from Apple TV’s Palm Royale and The Parker Palm Springs, Michele and Michael’s Waldorf Astoria Chicago wedding brought the energy of a night at Studio 54.
Though the couple married in a traditional Catholic Mass, their reception was anything but. Establishing the new mood immediately, a trap EDM violinist welcomed guests into cocktail hour. And the visual drama matched the sound: cascading arrangements threaded with exotic blooms, feathers and pearls spilled off tables and climbed up bird cages. A custom cheetah print dance floor anchored the room, its wild motif echoed across the bar decals, dinner menus and leopard napkin rings.
As foodies, the couple worked hand-in-hand with Waldorf Astoria’s chefs on a one-of-a-kind culinary experience. Alongside a multi-course dinner, Michele honored her Polish heritage with a modern Stół Wiejski — a “Polish Meat Hut” laden with cold cuts, pâtés, bread and pickles, further fueling guests through a long night of celebration.
From the start, Michele and Michael had one goal: to create an unforgettable, interactive experience where guests walk out saying, “I’ve never been to a wedding like that!” From white- gloved servers delivering His and Hers cocktails through a “ring for a drink” wall to live fashion illustrations of each guest, no detail was too small — and they exceeded their goal in spades.
