A Bright, Garden Aesthetic Wedding for Spandana & Anoop at The Old Post Office
With a garden aesthetic and a soft, sweet color palette, you could feel the intention behind every decision of Spandana and Anoop’s wedding. From their Mehndi at a relative’s home and the Sangeet at Sarabande, to this ceremony and reception at The Old Post Office, the couple balanced tradition while still bringing a fresh, modern perspective.
The two were introduced at Anoop’s cousin’s wedding, which, in many ways, says everything about them. As the oldest children of immigrants in their respective families, both were raised not just by their parents, but by an extended network of family and friends. That sense of community has always shaped how they see the world and the life they’re building together.
After their separate Pooja ceremonies, Spandana and Anoop met on the rooftop terrace of The Old Post Office for their first look. With 360- degree views of the city around them, they sat together, set their intentions for the day and privately read their vows. Then, before the processional, Spandana surprised Anoop with public vows, too. Behind a screen, with a microphone in hand, Spandana read her promises to Anoop. There was not a dry eye in the house as she emerged and processed down the aisle, ready to marry her best friend.
At the reception, a floral tree seating chart held 350 butterflies, each with a name and table. Stylish and whimsical on its own, the full picture showed a tree alive with the flock of community who raised them. For a couple who has always known that love is collective, it was the perfect place to begin.
