If you’re a more traditional bride who is looking for an all-inclusive wedding venue, a country club might be the choice for you.
Because of their size, many country clubs will have a few specific event spaces for you to choose from as well as outdoor options (like the lush golf courses!). Country clubs will be well-versed in arranging and hosting events and weddings, so you can rest assured that they’ll have experience, accommodations for every step of your wedding, a suggested vendor list, and a well-trained staff. Their perfectly manicured lawns and pristine buildings will make an elegant backdrop for your photographs and your wedding day.
Most country clubs will have an exclusive policy as far as catering and alcohol goes. But never fear, they also house exquisitely trained chefs and culinary staff and will allow you to choose from a few prepared menu options or will work with you to create a personalized menu. At a country club, catering is the least of your worries. Keep in mind, however, that country clubs are private, membership clubs and some will have a policy on who is allowed to use their event spaces. They may require you to have a referral from a member before they allow to book the venue. But before your hopes are dashed, communicate with the event liaison. Many clubs do open their event spaces to the public without the need for acquaintanceship with members.
