Rustic Elegance for Alexa & Andrew at Whispering Woods
Alexa and Andrew met at Alexa’s workplace, Hair For You Salon & Spa. Andrew has been a client of the salon for more than two decades, but he never imagined it would also be where he would meet his wife. One day, Andrew’s stylist, Kim, finished his fresh haircut and turned the chair around to introduce him to Alexa, who was clocking out. With flushed cheeks and nervous small talk, their story began. Little did they know this exchange would lead to them marrying on one crisp September afternoon.
Whispering Woods in Harvard provided the perfect wooded wedding setting. Nestled down a long driveway, lofty white pines, peaceful pond sounds and 40 acres of greenery introduced guests into a romantic fairytale.
The ceremony, officiated by the very woman who introduced them, was meaningful and dreamy. At the sight of Alexa walking down the aisle toward him, Andrew burst into tears. “Look around,” Alexa remembers saying to Andrew at the altar, “They are all here for us.” And so, surrounded by nature and loved ones, the couple held hands and exchanged vows.
After the ceremony, the celebrations continued with a touch of whimsy. Guests were greeted by flower-garland-adorned donkeys, a nod to them being Alexa’s favorite animal. The wooded landscape provided the perfect backdrop for a cocktail hour full of outdoor games, socializing and enjoying the couple’s signature cocktails — an Aperol Spritz and an Old Fashioned.
As the sun set over the wooded estate, celebrations continued inside the rustic Great Hall. From the natural setting to the contagious grins on the couple’s faces, this rustic wedding epitomizes warmth and happiness.
