Krystal & Addison’s Refined Elegance at The Langham
As early 2020 stay-at-home orders proliferated, Krystal and Addison’s love story blossomed. Despite having only met one month before the COVID lockdown, the couple decided to quarantine together, believing that this “bubble” would be brief. Trapped indoors with only early 2000s dance routines to pass the time, the two danced their way into love.
When it came time to plan their wedding, The Langham had the honor of hosting the celebrations. Addison is a restaurateur, so quality service and exceptional food were important parts of their wedding. Aside from the stunning ambiance, the impeccable service and menu at The Langham sealed the deal.
In keeping with the elegance of The Langham, the couple chose a timeless and graceful theme for their wedding decor. Cascading flowers and classic black tuxedos set the tone for a luxurious affair.
Krystal and Addison share a love for karaoke, even proclaiming it as a part of their respective Filipino and Korean cultures. Instead of a traditional thank-you speech, they opted for a karaoke- style speech with customized lyrics to some of their favorite songs. During their first dance, the couple performed a quarantine-learned *NSYNC dance routine to an enthusiastic crowd. This fun-loving moment was followed by a sentimental one, as Addison surprised his bride by singing “Lay Me Down” by Sam Smith to her, complete with backing vocals by all his groomsmen.
Despite the challenges of quarantine, Krystal and Addison found joy in each other’s company. Their wedding celebrations were a testament to their shared first-generation Asian-American experiences and the delight of finding a soulmate during extraordinary times.
