Jaclyn & Patrick’s Winter Wedding at The Drake Hotel
Rooted in family, faith and the charm of a Chicago winter, Jaclyn and Patrick (“Pat”)’s wedding was a masterclass in sophistication. The city they call home played a starring role, from the reverence of their Holy Name Cathedral ceremony to the festive warmth of their reception at The Drake Hotel. Every facet reflected their love for Chicago, the December season and the people who helped shape their story.
Although they grew up just minutes apart in the western suburbs, Jaclyn and Pat didn’t meet until their careers in supply chain management brought them together. Since then, closeness to family, both chosen and blood, has remained central to their lives and relationship.
The couple exchanged vows in a Nuptial Mass at Holy Name Cathedral, where the Gothic Revival architecture provided an awe-inspiring backdrop. Just blocks away, the celebration continued at The Drake Hotel — one of their favorite spots to soak in the magic of the holidays in the city.
Inspired by the historic beauty of both venues, Jaclyn and Pat selected a refined black-and-white floral palette, allowing their surroundings to define the event’s aesthetics. Gilded ceilings, crystal chandeliers and The Drake’s storied 1920s ambiance set the tone for an evening that felt both opulent and intimate. Guests enjoyed a menu of elevated classics, including the hotel’s signature Bookbinder Red Snapper Soup and Espresso “Martinos,” a playful nod to the couple’s last name.
With their hearts (and dance floor) full, the joy of their closest family and friends lingered until the band’s final note. It was the beginning of a new chapter, celebrated in a setting that will forever hold a place in their story.
