Lindsey & Mike’s Intimate Art Deco-Inspired Wedding
Lindsey and Mike celebrated their marriage with a fun, romantic and socially-distanced celebration. The couple had to get creative when restrictions changed only days before their ceremony. Luckily, the retractable roof at The Kimpton Gray gave them options, and they chose to have guests attend in shifts, with family staying through dinner and then leaving so friends could join the couple for celebratory cocktails.
And celebrate with cocktails they did! Lindsey and Mike both love a good mixed drink, so they made sure the bar could serve anything their guests desired — from old fashioneds to gin and tonics and everything in between. The dance floor was closed to meet health requirements, but guests still enjoyed an interactive photo booth and live music. The string quartet delighted everyone with contemporary tunes, from The Beatles to Taylor Swift. A fun jazz trio followed to keep the party vibes high.
An unconventional reception didn’t stop Lindsey from dazzling in an art deco-inspired beaded wedding dress. She was stunning, as were the flowers she carried and displayed at the reception. The anemones, ranunculus, garden roses and eucalyptus made a perfect white, blush and green color palette.
Lindsey and Mike agreed that getting married in the midst of a global pandemic helped keep them focused on the one thing that mattered: their love for each other and their friends and family. All of those other details don’t really matter so much in the end.
