Giselle & Abel’s Elegant Chicago Winery Wedding
Giselle and Abel traded gilded halls and china place settings for the warm ambiance of wooden wine barrels and fermenting tanks for their March wedding. Hosted at Chicago Winery in the River North neighborhood, the couple hosted a modern-chic wedding, filled with white flowers and greenery accents.
At Chicago Winery, Giselle and Abel enjoyed the venue’s full-service experience, featuring wines made on-site and chef-driven cuisine from Chef Andrew Graves. In the winery’s upstairs event space, the couple and their guests were enveloped by the venue’s warm and modern details, including a brick fireplace, wood panel arches and herringbone wood floors.
Seeking a simple yet elegant environment for their day, Giselle and Abel found the perfect setting in the already stunning Chicago Winery, requiring minimal additional decor. Simple single-stem roses decorated the dinner tables, while the statement piece of the day was the white floral broken arch framing their ceremony and then the sweetheart table.
Giselle and Abel’s fun-loving personalities set the tone for a day filled with laughter and joyous moments. Their playful spirit shone brightly on the dance floor, where Abel kicked off the dancing with a sultry yet humorous chair dance for Giselle. Later, Giselle changed into a fringe mini dress, perfect for dancing the night away.
Amidst the fun, sentimentality played an equally important role. Giselle’s two young sons were integral to the day, walking her down the aisle and sharing sweet dances with her. Tear-jerking toasts and heartfelt tributes to lost loved ones also added poignant touches to the celebration.
