Danielle & Ade’s Beautifully Blue Boho Wedding
It wasn’t quite love at first sight when Ade and Danielle first met in dental school at Marquette University — during a “simulation lab” over mannequin heads with plastic teeth! But when they ran into each other at Ade’s Ugly Sweater Christmas party a year later, sparks flew. Ade proposed to Danielle in September 2018 at a Gipsy Kings concert at Ravinia Festival as Danielle’s parents looked on.
On August 22, 2020, Ade and Danielle prepared for their wedding day separately and met up for a “First Look” and photographs in a local park (both say it was the highlight of a very special day) before being married at St. Patrick Catholic Church in St. Charles. To the delight of all present, Ade’s 2-year-old nephews, dressed in tuxes with earpieces and briefcases, acted as “ring security.”
Ade and Danielle then traveled via party bus to The Brix on the Fox in Carpentersville, Illinois, where they celebrated with 50 of their close friends and family, carefully maintaining Covid safety protocols, providing masks and custom hand sanitizer for all guests and “No Hug” bracelets for those who preferred to avoid any physical contact.
Danielle wore a strapless mermaid gown which complemented the exposed brick and boho vibe of the venue. Ade opted for a navy blue tux paired with a blue floral bow tie. The bridal party wore shades of blue and gray and the floral design included pinks, greens and oranges. Guests dined on street tacos, gourmet entrees and signature cocktails, then headed to the dance floor, celebrating well into the night.
