An Heirloom and Dance-Filled Wedding for Flavia & Justin
Flavia and Justin’s Room 1520 wedding was full of sentimental heirlooms, celebrated heritages, and a whole lot of dancing. The couple wed in a civil ceremony at City Hall in September 2023, but on March 29, 2024, they celebrated with friends and family with a cultural fusion ceremony and reception at Room 1520.
Opting for a subtle Art Deco theme, vintage accents defined the day’s essence. A color palette of warm pink shades with hints of champagne and gold further created a romantic atmosphere. Against Art Deco-inspired decor, the couple paid homage to their grandparents with framed family wedding photos, heirloom accessories, and antique suitcases.
The indoor ceremony within Room 1520’s bright space featured an altar of stunning floral columns and warm brass lanterns. The room was aglow with smiles and heartfelt emotions as the couple recited their sweet vows to each other.
The reception, also held in Room 1520, was illuminated by sparkling crystal chandeliers and elegant brass lamps. Flavia and Justin first met while out dancing and connected over their shared love for Salsa and Bachata. Given that dance is integral to their relationship, Flavia and Justin surprised guests with a choreographed routine, with Flavia changing into proper dance attire. Guests enthusiastically joined in, learning the steps as the bride led the way with impromptu dance lessons.
Flavia and Justin’s Filipino and Spanish heritages intertwined throughout the day, creating a vibrant tapestry of traditions and passion. As the couple brought the heat to the dance floor, sparks flew, invigorating all who attended. Their infectious joy and magnetic connection truly created a night to remember.
