An Elegant Medinah Country Club Wedding for Marion & Joseph
In monochrome hues and glimmers of gold, Marion and Joseph celebrated their wedding in a manner that exuded elegance and timeless beauty. Hosted at the world-renowned Medinah Country Club, the couple and 200 of their loved ones celebrated in a swirl of opulent romance.
Marion and Joseph’s love story began in their childhood neighborhood. Though they grew up less than a mile apart, they didn’t get officially introduced until Marion returned home after college. Joseph, a first-generation Italian-American, has dedicated himself to his family’s bread bakery, a business that has become a staple provider for many restaurants in Chicagoland. On the other hand, Marion was raised in a Greek household just a few blocks away from Joseph and has long been involved in both tennis and philanthropy through the Hinsdale Juniors Women’s Club. Their shared appreciation for family and food became the foundation of their relationship, culminating in a wedding filled with meaningful details.
The first special detail of their wedding came with the venue choice. Choosing Medinah Country Club wasn’t just a beautiful setting — it was a long-standing family tradition. Marion is the fourth generation in her family to wed there, following in the footsteps of her parents, godparents and several cousins. Her grandfather, the late Dr. Peter Pulos, played a pivotal role in the club’s history as a member of The Gold Cup golf team in 1985. The club has honored her family’s legacy with plaques and tributes, making it a fitting choice for the celebration.
Within the beautiful venue, orchids took center stage as the bride and groom’s focal floral choice, while other blooms in shades of cream and white filled the rest of the space. The design of the day was intentionally curated to enhance the gold architecture of both the historic church and reception space.
One of the most personal touches of the evening was the custom pain d’épi baguette table bread, lovingly crafted by Joseph’s family bakery, Casa Nostra Bakery. This meaningful addition was a nod to the couple’s deep-rooted love of food and family.
From start to finish, Marion & Joseph’s wedding was a perfect blend of classic beauty and heartfelt tradition — a day where elegance met legacy, and family remained at the heart of it all. From the grandeur of their ceremony at the oldest church in Oak Park to the opulent reception at Medinah Country Club, every detail was a reflection of their refined style.
