A Celestial Affair for Corey & Simon at Adler Planetarium
Romantic, stylish and interstellar, Corey and Simon’s wedding was a celestial vision. Held at Adler Planetarium with a palette of white, black and deep purple, their celebration beautifully embraced the wonder of the night sky.
When Corey, a Chicago native, and Simon, a Londoner, went on their first date, they both walked away with the unmistakable feeling they’d found “the one.” Now living in Manhattan, the couple shares a love for discovering new restaurants, hosting Shabbat dinners and returning to Chicago to celebrate with those who helped shape their story. Under a clear chuppah blooming with florals, the two exchanged vows in a traditional Jewish ceremony. As Simon broke the glass, the city skyline sparkled behind them, casting a golden-hour glow that felt nothing short of cinematic.
The reception took place in the solarium, where mirrored spheres, bold florals and natural stones formed sculptural centerpieces. The design felt equal parts galaxy and garden — ethereal, dramatic and entirely original. Supper was served as dinner stations and paid homage to the couple’s favorite hometown eats: deep dish pizza, Chicago-style hot dogs, a steak carving station and a parmesan wheel serving freshly tossed cacio e pepe.
After toasts, the party turned electric. Mini espresso martinis fueled the fun before the party moved into the Sky Theater. Inside the IMAX dome, space visuals swirled across the ceiling and a DJ and live saxophonist kept the celebration lively.
With Chicago as their launchpad, Corey and Simon took off into married life surrounded by joy, wonder and just the right amount of sparkle.
