Farah & Drew’s Greenery-Laden Glamour at Drury Lane Theatre & Events
From a traditional mahr ceremony to a Chicago-chic welcome party and a three-room celebration at Drury Lane Events, Farah and Drew’s marriage kicked off with a series of gatherings that built momentum, each one capturing their own blend of heritage and hospitality.
Choosing the venue was the easiest decision the couple made. Farah, a corporate lawyer, and Drew, CFO of Drury Lane Theatre & Events, both knew their wedding had to be at Drury Lane. Founded in 1949 by Drew’s grandfather, the venue has remained in the family for generations. Drew spent much of his childhood in and around the property, so exchanging vows there felt like a moment decades in the making.
After the mahr ceremony and welcome party set the tone for the weekend, the main celebration on May 10 transformed Drury Lane into a multi- sensory experience. Guests first entered a Secret Garden–inspired ceremony and cocktail hour, where greenery dripped from every surface, while a moss-covered floor erased any trace of the ballroom beneath. The reception that followed was a dramatic, all-white, 1920s-inspired scene. And just when the evening seemed to reach its peak, a third room opened to reveal a lively Moroccan-inspired after-party bursting with color, belly dancers and Middle Eastern late-night bites.
Between the exquisite installations, Muslim Iraqi immersions and thoughtful pacing of the night, Farah and Drew created a celebration not soon forgotten. Three events, multiple atmospheres and one unforgettable week — all culminating under the roof that shaped Drew’s childhood and now marks the start of their married life.
