Gold and Glamor at Venuti’s for Alessandra & Nico
While vacationing separately in Puerto Vallarta, Alessandra and Nico’s chance meeting quickly blossomed
into something effortless, familiar and meant to be. As fate would have it, they were both from the same Chicago suburb, came from big, vibrant Italian families and instantly recognized the kind of magic that only happens when you’re introduced in paradise.
Their wedding celebration began with a stately ceremony at Holy Name Cathedral, where the couple exchanged vows beneath soaring stained glass windows and centuries of tradition. Then it was on to Venuti’s Banquets in Addison for a reception that was as romantic as it was filled with nods to their heritage. For Alessandra, the venue was more than just beautiful, it was personal. Owned by her family, choosing it felt like inviting guests into her home. With its sweeping double staircase and dramatic, Italian-inspired interiors, the venue set the scene for a dreamlike night. Add in hundreds of white roses and a soft candlelit glow, and it was pure wedding-day magic.
Guests enjoyed an abundant cocktail hour, followed by a traditional four-course Italian dinner and a decadent dessert table — all paying homage to the couple’s roots. But the true showstopper came during Alessandra and Nico’s first dance. As they swayed beneath a floral-draped truss, the structure lit up with sparklers, raining down a dazzling cascade of light and pure magic.
From sacred vows to serenades on the dance floor, Alessandra and Nico’s wedding was a heartfelt nod to family, tradition and the joy of finding your forever … even when you’re not looking.
