A Timeless Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook Wedding for Tiana and Joey
Beautifully blending traditional Italian wedding elements with modern touches, Tiana and Joey’s Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook wedding was utterly breathtaking. Tiana, who works as the catering sales manager at Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook, was excited to take the reins and plan her dream wedding, with Joey enthusiastically supporting her vision.
Joey and Tiana’s love story began during Elmhurst University’s orientation, where amidst the hustle and bustle of new beginnings, they found each other. Over time, late-night study sessions and campus adventures turned a simple friendship into a deep love. Post-graduation, Joey and Tiana continued life together, navigating the ups and downs and building a strong and loving partnership. Then, in May 2023, Joey proposed to Tiana at Chicago’s historic Water Tower, beneath the Signature Room on the 95th floor—the same spot where his father had proposed over 30 years earlier. With the city skyline as their witness, Tiana enthusiastically said, “Yes!”
Tiana was thrilled to plan their dream wedding at her workplace, Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook. Knowing the ins and outs of what makes for a great event at the space, she had plenty of ideas and inspiration to draw from. Overall, they envisioned a classic and elegant evening that honored their heritage and delighted their guests. From stunning white and gold décor to exquisite dining, the event radiated elegance and warmth.
The reception was a tapestry of touching and personal moments. Heartfelt toasts were raised throughout, with each speaker sharing cherished memories that evoked tears of joy and bursts of laughter. In an especially sweet gesture, Tiana dedicated her bouquet to her mother instead of following the traditional bouquet toss. Surrounded by loved ones, Tiana expressed gratitude and honored the woman who had supported and guided her throughout her life.
From the moment Tiana and Joey entered their wedding ballroom, they were overwhelmed with emotion. The space they had envisioned had come to life, adorned with exquisite decorations and filled with their loved ones. Every elegant detail, from the seven wedding cakes to a live wedding painter, radiated classic luxury and marked the start of a beautiful future together.
