Margot and Brett Shine at Chicago Illuminating Company
At Margot and Brett’s first date at Tavern on Rush, the two bonded over similar upbringings and backgrounds and had an immediate connection. According to the bride, falling in love was easy, saying “yes” when Brett proposed was easier and saying “I do” Chicago Illuminating Company was the best.
When Margot and Brett got engaged, Margot knew exactly what kind of wedding she wanted. Margot has been a planner in the wedding industry for eight years and wanted her own wedding to be memorable and unique. The adjectives provided to their vendors throughout the planning process were romantic, chic, lux and fun. And everyone delivered!
Both the ceremony and reception were held at the stylish South Loop venue, Chicago Illuminating Company. The bride has long loved this venue, so it was always at the top of her list for her own wedding. After touring the venue officially, the couple booked the spot the very next day. Margot and Brett loved the romantic garden feel of the ivy-dripped outdoor space as well as the chic, glossy indoor space. To add some pops of color to the crisp and clean space, Flower Firm incorporated a myriad of whimsical floral arrangements in shades of pink and red.
The couple wanted to dance the night away, so a DJ was a must. And to give some sugar fuel, tasty ice cream bars from Dipsy Desserts added a special– and cute!– touch. Sparks flew as the night ended with a festive sparkler send-off, the perfect way to end the most perfect day.
When planning, Margot said she wanted their guests to cry from sentiment and emotion during the ceremony then have tears of joy and laughter during the reception. “I can proudly say we accomplished both of these and then some.” said the bride, “Our wedding was truly the best day filled with more love and happiness I could have ever imagined.”
