The Bride Wore Red: Ericka & Terence
Beneath a wrought iron gazebo and against a backdrop of glimmering water, Ericka and Terence “Terry” celebrated finding their forever partner. And they did so with the bride wearing a vibrant, red dress!
The Odyssey Venue in Tinley Park supplied the sleek and refined splendor the couple was looking for. Intimate yet grand, the venue was a crisp background that allowed their black, white and red color palette to take center stage.
Ericka describes herself as “the diva — the classy and unexpected bride.” This wedding was both Ericka and Terry’s second marriage, so the couple wanted to really do things their way and to make a splash. But they finally found their perfect match in each other and it was time to celebrate with flair.
In the spirit of doing something unexpected, Ericka left visions of a white dress behind and decided to shine in red. With the help of designer Jasmine Dean, Ericka created a custom, show-stopping gown. The bride shocked everyone as she made her dramatic entrance. Arriving in a white Rolls-Royce Phantom, she stepped out in her vibrant scarlet dress. “Keeping the gown a secret was hard but well worth it once I saw the look on my guests’ faces, but also my husband’s. He always looks at me like I’m the only woman in the world, but this time he did with tears,” shared Ericka.
Meanwhile, the groom had his own dramatic touches too. Terry loves classic cars and is a member of the Chicago Crossroads Corvette Club, so the club escorted him to the venue in a parade of 45 Corvettes.
Unapologetic, dramatic and unforgettable — Ericka and Terry’s wedding was everything they dreamed of and more.
