Tsion & Zach’s Elegant Cultural Coupling

Tsion and Zach’s wedding was a fusion of cultures that began with a traditional Ethiopian ceremony to honor Tsion’s heritage. As a part of the ceremony and blessing from their elders, Zach and his best man arrived at Tsion’s home to give her a bouquet of flowers. Tsion and Zach then proceeded to the venue while their immediate family and wedding party followed behind them in song and dance.

The couple was set on the idea of having an outdoor garden ceremony, so the Atlanta Botanical Garden was an obvious choice. Tsion and Zach traded vows under an elaborate floral arch before continuing the celebration at the grand and timeless venue, Biltmore Ballrooms.

The wedding day was full of beautiful details including the two classic and elegant looks both the bride and groom chose to don on their wedding day — one at their intimate ceremony and the other at the lively reception. Their black-tie affair was lavishly decorated with gold candelabras, white floral trees and beautiful hydrangea centerpieces. Another detail that wowed guests was their five-tier wedding cake, intricately embellished in gold accents and their wedding monogram while being surrounded by a halo of florals.

Tsion and Zach agreed, seeing each other for the first time during the cultural ceremony was one of the most memorable moments from the day. And to think, none of this would have happened had they not met at an event during Harvard-Yale weekend in Boston, where Tsion was attending Harvard Business School.
