Located on the north side of Chicago, IL, this “alarmingly charming” historic venue is perfect for intimate weddings, parties and gatherings. The building, constructed over a century ago, originally housed Engine Company 70. With a few renovations, Firehouse Chicago revived the structure’s white glazed brick and high ceilings, creating a beautifully unique, industrial setting for celebrations of all kinds. Paired with a garden that’s perfect for lounging, this cozy Chicago event venue is an ideal choice for those in search of an intimate setting in the city.
Event Spaces
Firehouse Chicago can accommodate 84 (seated) to 100 (cocktail) guests and offers three separate spaces that work together to create a unique floor plan for weddings and events. Formerly the engine room, the main room boasts 1,350 square feet of space and features beautiful, rustic details, such as a wrought iron staircase, white brick walls, decorative ceilings, vintage firehouse pole and wooden farmhouse doors. Also indoors, a modern kitchen serves as a smaller, additional space, when not in use by catering staff. Perfect for small meetings and breakout sessions!

Also available to rent, the Garden Room Wedding Studio offers a private pre-ceremony space for six hours. The space includes use of the vintage firehouse locker room, bedroom (with an oversized copper tub and river rock shower) and private deck perfect for coffee and mimosas. The Captain’s Room Wedding Studio and Bunk Room are in progress and will soon be available as additional enhancements!
Guests can also enjoy spending time in the venue’s cozy side garden. This outdoor space is ideal for use as a lounge area, outdoor wedding ceremony or reception space, or as extra meeting or coffee break space during corporate events. An elevated balcony overlooks the space, giving guests addition space to relax. Furnishings are included with space rental.

The Experience
Keeping your busy schedule in mind, Firehouse Chicago offers comfort and ease with a hands-on approach. Venue rental includes a complimentary 1-hour rehearsal so your wedding ceremony goes off without a hitch, décor set up, vendor confirmation calls and day-of vendor coordination, and a 1-2 hour pre-event meeting to go over all the details of your day. Plus, fifteen minutes of private time is built in after wedding ceremonies, giving newlyweds a few moments to celebrate alone together with their choice of drinks and appetizers!
In addition, space rental also includes 100 padded fruitwood folding chairs, 10 reclaimed wood farm tables, a reclaimed wood bar, an outdoor wedding platform, 5 bourbon barrels, 6 garden highboys, 4 prep tables, couch areas for inside and out, 48 space parking lot at Hayt Elementary, a Parking Greeter to direct guests and a 60’ white peaked tent lit with white lights.
