Stylish Autumn Wedding at Vic’s on the River in Savannah, GA
It’s no secret that The Hostess City is pretty much the South’s go-to location for a good party. And the Halloween wedding of Marie and Dan was no exception. A costume party the night before primed the guests for what was to be an elegant affair at Vic’s on the River, a Savannah wedding venue, but with fun Halloween-inspired twists. Treasured friends recited readings in honor the day before Marie and Dan exchanged vows. Marie wore a beautiful A-line gown paired with a Japanese headpiece and fur shawl for outside photos. Her bouquet by A to Zinnias was autumn-lovely with seasonal flowers in shades of pink, burgundy, sage and succulents. Gorgeous arrangements topped tables in the reception space, where the efforts of Bonnie Karr of First City Events, a Savannah event designer, and Joey McDermott of Vic’s came to beautiful life. Friends and family enjoyed classic southern cuisine including cheddar grits, garlic mashed potatoes, grilled rib-eye and collard greens. It was a night of dancing (DJ also by First City Events) and laughter and romance. In honor of the spooky holiday, a Freddy Kreuger “slashed” cake and tarot card reader delighted guests long into the night. A cookie bar by Savannah’s Byrd Cookie Company proved to be the perfect end of the night sweet treat, before the bride and groom took their leave with friends and family for a Savannah-style bout of after-party karaoke. Jade and Matthew Takes Pictures was there to capture every memorable moment of the couples’ special day.
