Rustic Glam Styled Shoot at Emerson Creek
This rustic glam-themed styled shoot at Emerson Creek Pottery and Tea Room is one of our faves! The photos taken by Just Love Me {Photography & Design} are beyond gorgeous.
Planner and stylist, Rachael Steacy Events says, “Our team was really inspired by the incredible sunsets that our venue is privy to – as a gorgeous, renovated modern barn space, Emerson Creek is surrounded by cornfields and lots of green space, so we knew we had to build the shoot around the glamour of their golden hour.”
Using a deep color palate consisting of sangria, berry, navy and gold, the colors added a formal touch and looked beautiful in both day and night. The rich colors also updated the popular rustic, barn setting wedding that is all the range now-a-days. “We decided to be inspired by glamorous, glittering details instead, and use gold as a metallic addition to our color palate,” Rachael Steacy Events says.
The Flower Studio used exotic flowers, including: antique hydrangeas, “Many Happy Returns” peonies, “Festiva Maxima” peonies, Juliet roses, dahlias, calla lilies and mini calla lillies, along with pearl studded scabios, “Bubbles” spray roses, and cymbidium orchids to create one-of-a -kind centerpieces and bouquets.
The brides’ hair and makeup provided by Tamara Makeup + Hair Artistry was flawless and kept the drama consistent with bold shadows, lots of volume in the hair and gorgeous long false eyelashes. Gorgeous, over-the-top Lazaro gowns from Bella Bianca Bridal Couture were both classic and sassy. (See style numbers 3601 an 3650!)
Designed for the couple who isn’t afraid to do something unexpected, and who loves a bold statement, the perfect rustic glam wedding cake was created by DeEtta’s Bakery. It isn’t your typical naked cake either — pinks and gold were used to create a marbleized effect. The team thought just a wedding cake wasn’t enough, so they asked DeEtta’s to make a variety of French pastries that would add an extravagant (and extra-sweet) end to the night.
Just Invite Me created the adorable sangria, gold and navy wedding invitation suite that gave guests a glamorous first impression through it’s beautiful gold foiling details. Candelabras added height and drama to the tablescape, and the place settings with vintage china that fit into the color story, including the gold flatware and blue glassware. Sequined linens also helped to add some glam to the rustic wood sweetheart table, and the exotic-filled, colorful centerpiece made a statement piece. Satin Chair Wedding & Event Decor provided the rentals to complete the rustic glam theme.
The signature cocktail was anything bubbly. Rachael Steacy says, “Don’t forget the garnish for an extra-special touch – we love berries as a traditional choice, a sugar rim to add sparkle, or a sprig of rosemary for something more earthy and unexpected.”
If you have two different styles or visions, the right stylist and planner can find ways to combine them in beautiful and unexpected ways.
