Caitlin and Carolyn’s love story began with a dating app and led to an engagement in a pumpkin patch! The pair love making each other laugh and taking on the adventures of life together. They decided on an autumn wedding in Chicago so they could celebrate their commitment in their favorite season.
The morning of their Big Day, Caitlin woke up without a voice, but a scratchy throat couldn’t keep the lovebirds from having the time of their lives. It was important to Caitlin and Carolyn that their wedding day feel unique and personal, which started with hosting the festivities at Salvage One— an intimate and quirky space that was perfect for the party. The couple exchanged vows in a ceremony officiated by a Chicago stand-up comedian and actor, with their adorable dog, Mabel, chiming in with her own barks when they said, “I do!” After the ceremony, Caitlin and Carolyn took a few minutes to be together and simply appreciate their new spouse, which was one of their favorite moments of the day.
The navy blue, burnt orange, burgundy and peach color palette brought a quintessential fall feeling to the day. Caitlin and Carolyn shared a romantic first dance together, demonstrating their skills from some pre-wedding professional dance lessons. They then paired up with their dads for a sentimental father-daughter dance while Caitlin’s best man serenaded them with “What a Wonderful World.” The reception continued with guests enjoying drinks, the dance floor and plenty of photo opps. The love in the room was tangible and made for a memorable celebration.
