
Glamorous Gold Wedding at Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah, GA
You might never expect traditional Southern to come together with Ecuadorian, but that’s just what happened when Hollie and José fell in love. When the boy from Ecuador and his Georgia peach vacationed in Savannah one month before they got engaged, matrimonial decisions were already in the works. The city provided
a multi-cultural backdrop that suited both their histories and enchanting venues abounded. So more than a year later, the ceremony took place on a warm April day at Whitehall Chapel, whose grounds are shadowed by ancient pines, dripping with Spanish moss. The bride stunned in a customized lace Matthew Christopher dress with a sweetheart neckline and beading at the waist. The wedding party carried lush arrangements of white peonies, caramel antike garden roses, white ranunculus, white anemones, champagne roses and Italian ruscus designed by Harvey Designs. The floral and culinary decadence of the reception at Savannah hotel wedding venue Mansion on Forsyth Park was dotted with precious details that celebrated a meeting of cultures. Their cocktail hour featured a special cocktail named “José and the Georgia peach” on napkins that said “Salud Y’all” and later on Hollie surprised her new husband with a “Team A” marquee decorating the dance floor. Late into the night, beats flourished courtesy of DJ Fernando Silva of Lethal Rhythms. Classic Southern elements of lace, magnolias, and timeless wedding traditions were kept modern with glamorous like playful calligraphy by Lowcountry Paper Co., salsa dancing, and never-ending sparkle.
