A French Inspired Wedding at Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club in Douglasville, GA
A chilly spring breeze ushered in Lindsey and Jonathan’s evening ceremony on the grounds of the Georgia wedding venue Foxhall Resort. The couple sought to keep their romantic Parisian engagement as inspiration throughout the day. The bride wore a trumpet style wedding gown by Casablanca Couture complete with delicate French lace cap sleeves and held a bouquet of garden roses and peonies, accented with sprigs of French lavender. After saying ‘I do’ under a floral-adorned arch in the gardens, the couple invited guests to a cocktail hour where Atlanta’s Finest Catering provided an array of savory mini bites. During dinner hour, caterer Lorie Bomar and her team provided a classic spread of southern supper favorites including four carving stations and a mac and cheese bar. The couple’s four tier ivory and lavender wedding cake stood tall atop a rosette linen swathed table and silver filigree cake stand. The couple’s wedding vows, translated into French, scrolled across the top tier, while a custom lavender monogram adorned the central layer. The nearly 300 guests danced to a selection of tunes performed by Jeni Michelson & The Society Express, a seasoned high-energy Atlanta wedding band. Jonathan and Lindsey made a grand exit in a vintage ivory and black Rolls Royce, lit by the glow of guests’ celebratory sparklers.
