Wedding Snapshot: Michelle + Chris

Michelle and Chris tied the knot at the Trump International Hotel and Tower during Chicago’s famous Air and Water Show. All photos by Kenny Kim Photography.

Michelle, on how she and Chris met…
“We met at Mastro’s Steakhouse. I was there with friends after work and Chris was with his friends. We all ended up pushing our tables together and Chris and I were sitting next to each other. He asked for my number and the rest is history! We were together for two years before we got engaged.”

Michelle and Chris, on how they knew they were perfect for each other…
“We both like to take care of the people around us. It was refreshing to find someone that was similar. We love doing special things for each other.”

Michelle, on how Chris proposed…
“We took some time off of work and traveled around Europe for a month. I had no idea that Chris was carrying a ring with him the entire trip. Our last stop was Paris. On one of our last nights, we went to the Eiffel Tower at midnight to watch the lights sparkle, which happens every hour. It was a full moon and I remember thinking I have to remember how beautiful the moment was…”

“…I was tired since it was so late, but I figured Chris would want to grab one more drink before we headed home. I figured I would leave it up to him to decide where we went next. I said ‘If there is anything in the world you could do right now what would it be?’ He turned to me and proposed! It was the perfect moment, one that I will never forget.”

Michelle and Chris, on why they chose to tie the knot in Chicago…
“It’s one of the best cities in the world! We figured it would be a fun place for out of town guests to travel to. Our wedding was the Air and Water Show weekend and the Cubs were playing the White Sox so there wasn’t a shortage of fun activities.”

Michelle and Chris, on their favorite memory from their wedding day…
“Our ceremony. It was so special to have so many friends and family surrounding us for such an important moment in our lives. “

Since the couple had so many out of town guests, Michelle and Chris decided to treat them to a late night snack of some of Chicago’s favorite deep dish pizza spots. They had selections from Lou Malnati’s, Giordano’s, and Gino’s East and since Michelle has a huge sweet tooth, so they also had donuts from Donut Vault.
