This rustic wedding at Heritage Prairie Farm featured gorgeous calla lilies, a sweet serenade, and a beautiful redheaded bride. All photos by Missy Miller of Elite Photography.
Colette and Andrew’s wedding was full of beautiful touches that made their celebration unmistakably their own. Their sunshiny blue and yellow theme was infused into even the tiniest details of their Big Day, and really tied everything together.
Colette’s hoop earrings were made from antique watch links that belonged to Andrew’s great-grandmother in the 1920s.
The reception and ceremony were decorated with so many whimsical touches. Jars filled with sliced lemons were scattered throughout the venue, and DIY signs directed guests towards their seats, bug spray, drinks, and more.
The happy couple went skipping down the aisle after their kiss.
The tables were set with a variety of vintage farm plates and guests were able to find their tables named after popular Chicago neighborhoods. The sweetheart table was named after the South Loop, which is where Colette and Andrew met.
The sweets table at the reception was courtesy of the famous Stan’s Doughnuts in Chicago, Illinois.
The festivities didn’t stop as the sun began to set. The guests all headed under the tent to enjoy a night of dancing and drinks.
Musician Keith Semple showed up to play “Take Me Home” for the couple’s first dance, and Lee Michaels took over later to get the party going on the dance floor.
