Katie and Christian met at a water polo party in Dayton, OH after being introduced through Christian’s brother Brendan. Over the course of a few months and several visits to Chicago, Katie and Christian started dating. “We just love spending time with each other,” the couple shared. “On road trips and bike rides, at yoga, while playing sports and cheering on our favorite teams… we both just love good company, good pizza, and spending time with each other’s family!”

The couple began their wedding day with champagne and small bites as they prepped for their ceremony. After taking a trolley ride over to St. Michael’s Church, Katie and Christian said “I do” with the help of a beautiful quartet, gorgeous blooms, and all of their family and friends. The ceremony was followed by a sunny outdoor photo session, and then the cocktail hour and reception at Germania Place began. “The food and drinks from Kenmare Catering were absolutely delicious,” the couple said. “We loved our tasting and working with Katie O’Reilly!”

At Germania Place, the couple’s two hundred guests enjoyed piano music and mouthwatering appetizers as they mixed and mingled in the venue’s chandelier adorned ballroom. Later in the evening, the Dan Hayes Orchestra took the mic and treated guests to hours of upbeat tunes. Aside from the dining and dancing, one of the couple’s favorite memories was the series of speeches that Katie’s dad and brothers gave. “They were so heartfelt and honest,” Katie said. “Hearing them speak in front of everyone we love was so moving.”
