“We had indirectly met in 2007 at a mutual friends party but left without connecting, as Kyle was too shy to approach me. It wasn’t until five years later that our paths crossed again as fate brought us back in each other’s life — this time for good.

“We went on our first date on September 15th, 2012, and have been inseparable ever since. He proposed to me on the river walk in front of the Trump International Hotel & Tower (after some difficulty getting the ring out of his pocket), and I of course said yes! Our evening continued at one of our favorite restaurants, Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab. He had requested the booth where he first told me loved me. Kyle’s parents surprised us both by picking up the tab! We ended our night back at a suite at the Trump Hotel with champagne.

“Our wedding day was absolutely picture perfect! We could not have asked for a better day, especially with our special day being in the middle of February. The beautiful weather (sunny, blue skies and 60 degrees) was just an added bonus to what was the most meaningful day for Kyle and I.

“Kyle and I envisioned our ceremony as intimate and personal. We spent months creating a ceremony that symbolized us as a couple as well as elements that we found to be most important in the foundation of marriage. Our ceremony focused on our love story and how being each other’s best friend is and has been most important to us.

“The décor was out of this world beautiful. It was simply magical! I said from the beginning my vision was a winter wonderland, and despite the 60 degree weather, it truly was. There was sparkle, glam and shine everywhere you looked. From my shoes, dress, bridesmaid dresses, bouquets, drapery, canopy, flowers, and candles, the room was lit up and shinning bright.

“The reception was the icing on the cake! Our biggest joy was being surrounded by all of our favorite people in one room. We just wanted all of our family and friends to dance and have fun! We were surrounded by so much love. The dance floor was packed from the minute the doors opened until the last guest left (at 2:00 a.m. — and one of Kyle’s groomsmen even tried to pay the hotel to keep the party going longer). Our band had everyone up and dancing the entire night!

“We both never knew how much fun a wedding could be. It wasn’t just the day of that was so incredible, but the entire week leading up to our wedding. We had so many people involved in helping us make this the most unforgettable experience. The effort, time, and love was indescribable and we felt it every step of the way from the people we love the most. I walked around for a week after, even to this day (2 months later) saying I just want to re-live this moment one more time!

“I think what makes us truly special, as a couple, is our friendship. We have bond that is so illuminating and a connection that is so rare and special. I never believed in soul mates until the day I met Kyle. I truly believe in my heart there is and never will be anyone more perfect for me. He truly is my best friend and the person who brings out the best version of myself. Our commitment to one another began long before our wedding day. We were committed from the beginning and our life’s journey began then. Our wedding was just a continuation of the journey we had already started.” — Jeana
