After getting a nudge from her aunt, who knew Kale from church and had always thought the two would be a good match, Alexandra added Kale on Facebook one summer while she was home from college. The pair decided on bowling and ice cream for their very first date and by that fall, they were officially dating and knew they were a perfect fit for each other. “We have the same morals and values,” the couple explained. “We have a strong faith in God and treasure our relationships with our families. We’re also different in ways that allow us to grow together to become better people.”

Before their ceremony at The Jacob Henry Mansion Estate’s beautiful church, Kale and Alexandra skipped having an early first look and instead chose to pray together while holding hands around a corner. “We didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, and praying together was a beautiful and emotional moment,” the couple shared. At the church, Kale and Alexandra stood before their family and friends to exchange their personally written vows and braid a cord of three strands to represent their new union with each other and God.

The newlyweds honored Alexandra’s Lebanese heritage with a Zaffe, a wedding entrance involving a parade of drums and dancers. Later on, the couple included their wedding party and families in a traditional Dabke dance. Alexandra and Kale spent the rest of the night dancing with their guests, only pausing to enjoy a late night snack from their hometown favorite Taco John’s. “The thing that sticks out in my mind the most about my wedding day is how full my heartfelt,” Alexandra shared. “I felt so surrounded by love and completely confident in the step that Kale and I were taking together. It was the perfect blend of romance and fun!”
