A Rustic Bridal Shower Dessert Table
With all of the hustle and bustle of pre-wedding plans and parties, it’s easy to forget what you’re really celebrating. That’s why a rustic and intimate bridal shower can be just the right touch to truly celebrate the bride-to-be. Check out this spread by Cacao Sweets & Treats, a charming bakery just north of Chicago. Its creative director, Melissa, shared gorgeous inspiration with insight into planning your own intimate bridal shower dessert table.
From Melissa:
We wanted to create a very intimate, timeless, romantic, yet rustic ambiance for guests to celebrate the bride to be in. Our bakery’s private party room is the perfect setting for an elegant and simple, yet intimate gathering. As much as we love the look of a separate dessert table we wanted to create a communal feel with the food directly on the table. There is nothing like sharing an intimate, slow meal together.
A beautiful white fresh flower garland was used as a runner down the table. We love the way that the soft flowers looked set against the rustic wood table. Our desserts weaved throughout the garland and were set amongst white candles in vintage gold holders. A beautiful champagne cake topped with lovely white florals and greenery acted as our centerpiece, while mini lemon tarts with a fresh sprig of rosemary, brown butter popovers with sage butter, white chocolate and lavender pavlovas and madeleines dipped in chocolate and pistachios filled the table on either side. White china with a simple gold rim and vintage silverware set the table. Instead of a traditional place card we used a beautiful cupcake topper with each guests name on it set in a vanilla cupcake topped with white flowers to lead each guest to their seat.
Our paper goods set the perfect tone for the shower. Kraft paper lent a rustic touch while the fonts and floral circle gave an airy feel to the invitations. We love little handmade touches at bridal showers to make the bride feel special, so we had our designer create a beautiful cookbook cover. Each guest would receive a recipe card with their invitation to complete before the shower. The cookbook would then be compiled at the shower for the bride and groom to take home.
