Roaring 20s and Nautical Inspired Birthday Party

When you’re a party planner, and your beloved grandmother is turning the big 8-0, throwing a party for her would certainly seem like the ultimate gift. And so it was! Desiree of Desiree Spinner Events threw a spectacular 80th birthday celebration for Joyce and 65 of her closest friends and family at Nauticus Marina during what some might say was an ode to the roaring 20s mixed with a little nautical inspiration. Desiree, Joyce’s grandmother was the creative party host at the helm of the celebrations and says “We are extremely close so I wanted to show off my design skills and plan something super chic and fun for her friends and of course family. I picked all my favorite vendors for the event right down to the Sperry Tent. The location was perfect for a local soiree!” Guests enjoyed a 20s inspired band, cocktails by the boat house and celebrating the momentous occasion with Joyce. While everyone danced the night away, a photobooth with props and signs entertained as well. SETTING
To create an intimate setting, guests were seated at long estate tables dressed in sage green linens with beautiful white flowers. Lounge areas surrounded the table setting to create the perfect spot for relaxed conversation.

FOOD & DESSERT
Local Cape Cod flavor was brought in by having Casual Gourmet do some upscale seafood dishes and a raw bar. For dessert, a 1920s style cake was made to match the green linens and the wavy, floral design was created to match the dresses of the 1920s era.

ENTERTAINMENT
Desiree brought in an amazing band who plays 1920s music. She said “what I love about Carte Blanche is that they dress the part!” After dinner Joyce and all her friends started dancing and started a huge conga line…even the little kids joined in!
