Q. My fiance and I were planning on registering at a local, trendy store that we both enjoy shopping at. We have seen many things in this store that would be perfect for our new apartment. They have items from $15 to $3,000, so everyone will be able to shop, regardless of their budget. My fiance has his own apartment and I have my own apartment, so we have a lot of things already. We are upgrading to a larger apartment after the wedding and need furniture and accessories, not kitchen towels and bath mats. His mother is telling us that that is totally inappropriate. She is demanding that we do the traditional registry at a minimum of three locations and register for gadgets and towels. I'm so confused now. My fiance said maybe we should just do what his mom wants just to make her happy. But should I sacrifice my happiness for hers? We had it all planned out until she started in on this. Help! Sincerely, Un-Registered | ANSWER>>
