Kevin Flannery & Danielle DiMucci
Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, Wyoming

When Kevin Flannery and Danielle DiMucci started planning their wedding they knew they wanted the best of both worlds—a wedding that was far away, yet still said "Chicago."

To make that happen they hired Joe Monastero, owner of JSM Private Events. Danielle and her mother met Joe at the Chicago Magnificent Bride Expo at the Drake Hotel.

The couple explained how they wanted a Chicago style wedding in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Danielle, Kevin, and Joe quickly went to Wyoming to scout locations for the ceremony and reception. Then the race was on to prepare travel arrangements for the guests and choose what elements of Chicago were essential to bring to Wyoming.

The concept of an elegant, yet western wedding is not surprising considering where the couple first met: the Hooved Animal Rescue and Protection Society, or HARPS, in Barrington Hills. Both Danielle and Kevin were volunteering their time at HARPS when they met.

For the ceremony, they chose the charming log-cabin chapel of the Sacred Heart, secluded deep in the forest of Teton National Park. In keeping to the intimacy of the space, the wedding procession was intentionally kept small with just a flower girl and ring bearer, the maid of honor which was the groom’s seven-year old daughter, Amanda, and then the bride, escorted down the aisle by her mother and brother (her father is deceased).

Music was provided by a pianist, cellist, and violinist, all from the Grand Teton Music Festival. The traditional Catholic ceremony included special vows the bride and groom gave, along with a locket, to Amanda, their daughter/step-daughter.

A reception was held in the elegant ballroom and terrace of the Four Seasons Hotel in Jackson Hole. Colors were primarily copper and apple green, with accents of rusty orange, amber, and camel suede brown.

The general theme of the event was old west Wyoming and it’s natural beauty meet Chicago elegance and style. Beautiful gel colored lighting lit up the trees on the lawn and the hotel’s firepit was going all night so that guests could roast smores as midnight approached.

The Ballroom itself was decorated with square tables to emote the sense of old west community but adorned with elegant copper pin tuck tablecloths, fruitwood contempo chairs, and apple green lamour napkins. Music for the event was provided by the Dick Judson Orchestra, brought from Chicago.

Making the night even more romantic, Kevin purchased a very special table and had it shipped to Wyoming to serve as the cake table. It was the table the couple had sat at when Kevin had proposed to Danielle in Chicago’s Four Seasons Hotel. But Danielle didn’t know this as it sat under a table cloth until after the cake was cut and the cake was removed. Then Kevin whisked away the tablecloth, revealing the antique coffee table to Danielle as her wedding present.

The couple focused on fun at the reception. After dinner, children went into a special room prepared for them with activities, board games, and their own spin-art station, while the adults could choose to dance or go into their own "game room" back out on the terrace where poker and roulette tables had been set up, and an astrologer sat on the lawn giving readings.
