Contest Winner Story

John and I started our Journey during the first few months of freshman year at Fremd High School, where we shared the same Spanish class. A few months later, we began dating and quickly developed a close bond that has continued to grow through the last10 years.

February the 4th will forever be remembered as one of the most special days of our lives. It was the day we were engaged and promised our unity to each other. We began the evening with a romantic dinner. After dinner, we proceeded to the construction site of our future 1st home together. There, John surprised me with what I thought was only a champagne toast to celebrate our new home. Fortunately, after enjoying a couple glasses of champagne in the dark, cool February weather, John dropped to one knee and proposed.

Over the years, our relationship has endured enough challenges to make us strong, enough joy to keep us happy, and enough love to lead us into marriage.

We are set to wed on May 13th, 2006 at Holy Family Parish, in Inverness, IL. Our Reception will be held at The Belvedere, in Elk Grove Village, IL. For our Honeymoon, we are planning to vacation somewhere warm and tropical, but have yet to pick the specific destination!
